QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Applicants shall have manifested an interest in Angus projects and have a part in such activities at the time of application . Applicant must be the son or daughter of a member of the East Tennessee Angus Association and they must reside in East Tennessee.
   
   
2. Applicant shall be graduating high school spring of the year the award is announced.
   
   
3. A copy of the applicants transcript shall accompany the application. Attach these to the back of the application.
   
   
4. Recommendations may be obtained from any two of the following five categories: County agent, FFA or 4-H club adult leader; school principal; guidance counselor; pastor; employer or Angus breeder. The applicant shall determine the two people that would offer the best recommendations.
   
   
5. Applicant shall be making plans to further their education.
   

PROOF OF ENROLLMENT (APPLIES TO THE WINNER ONLY)

1. The recipient of this scholarship is not limited in the course of higher education they wish to pursue. The winner may choose a college or university of their choice or an accredited beauty school, secretarial course, or a vocational-technical program.
   
   
2. The scholarship winner shall be presented a check when they present proof that they have enrolled in the school of their choice. Proof of enrollment must be presented to the scholarship chairman after they have attended a semester of school. The winner must enter the school of their choice within 1 year from the date of their graduation from high school.
   
   
3. In the event that a circumstance arises that the winner of the scholarship cannot enroll in a school for additional education by the above deadline, the award will be forfeited.
